Land of the Blacks was a public work in the World Trade Center Oculus in New York City displayed on all digital screens. It was a collaborative effort with artists Kamau Ware, Adrian Franks, and Pope Phoenix mounted in 2021 and 2022. The work was a celebration of the proclamations the Black Gotham Experience was able to pass in recognition of the Land of the Blacks, an African community on the island of Manhattan that predates the existence of New York City.
