In 2011, i got my NYC Tour Guide license as a means to an end. In order to provide the Black Gotham Tours, i had to be official. You just can’t have anybody directing tourists and giving directions without their paper work, right? Since acquiring my license, i’ve had over a dozen opportunities to use it as a guide for schools and families to New York City’s known and less known features. It’s also great to bring my camera along and get great pictures of people enjoying a new place.
In this image, the NYU international scholars are taking their group photo after a tour i gave them in Corona, Queens. The most ethnically diverse neighborhood in New York City and probably the country.
